Ruud van Empel in ‘Face It!’ at the Joods Historisch Museum, Amsterdam
December 11, 2016
Three important works of Ruud van Empel, ‘Generation #1, #2 and #3’ are included in the Jewish Historical Museum exhibition ‘Face It! Oordelen op ‘t eerste gezicht’. The subject of ‘perception’ is its theme and the role it plays in our society today (the perception of ourselves and our perception of others). In Van Empel’s works the idea of perception, identity, race and religion are a constant matter of thought.
Flatland Gallery and Ruud van Empel are glad to announce the donation of the work ‘Generation #3’ to the collection of the Jewish Historical Museum, Amsterdam.
The exhibition will take place from December 19, 2016 until April 16, 2017.
