Flatland to Copenhagen: Code Art Fair with Alice Browne – Stelios Karamanolis – Paolo Ventura – Guy Yanai

June 28, 2018

Flatland is keen on participating at Code Art Fair, the annually held contemporary art fair based in Copenhagen. The gallery will show for the first time large work by British artist Alice Browne. Drawing on an expanse of influences and materials, Browne’s painted works – in a fresh colour palette of neon blues and pinks to all sorts of pastel, and blues – describe obscure imaginative spaces, which simultaneously appear to adhere to the rules of gravity and perspective whilst outwardly ignoring them. From Israeli artist Guy Yanai the gallery is hyper pleased to bring works of the artist that he did in the summer of 2018. With his strong horizontal stripes of pigment Yanai feeds on contemporary issues. From Italian artist Paolo Ventura an interpretation of life in the city will be given in his famous mixed media techniques of maquettes, painting and photography. After Code the gallery will present a large show of Paolo Ventura ‘T H E S I L E N T C I T Y’. From upcoming Greek artist Stelios Karamanolis, filosophy and poetry will be united in his light canvases, full of meaning and presence; a follow up on his solo show at Art Brussels 2018.
