Anniversary Flatland Paris Photo
June 16, 2016
With great happiness Flatland Gallery celebrates its 20th participation of Paris Photo. Paris Photo started in 1997 as the first fair in the world solely dedicated to photography. Under the guidance of founder and director the Dutch Rik Gadella who rolled out a colourful contemporary and bold program, the fair attracted an informed international audience. One of the many milestones is the importance of Paris Photo for the recognition of Dutch photography by the international art world. Because of Paris Photo many international careers of Dutch photographers took off.
Today Paris Photo has turned into the world’s largest photography fair, bustling with energy and excitement, showcasing everything from ultra rare vintage prints to contemporary photographic works, including photography in its post -photographic altered states.
Paris Photo 2016 is taking place in the historic beautiful Grand Palais from November 10th through 13th.
The Fair will open on Tuesday, November 8th, with the J.P. Morgan Preview, followed by the VIP Opening, Wednesday, November 9th.
