Racconti Immaginari, Paolo Ventura at ARMANI/SILOS
March 6, 2018
The gallery is proud of Paolo Ventura’s solo show at the Armani museum in Milan, titled ‘Racconti Immaginari / Imaginary Tales’. The exhibition showcases around 100 works, including photographs, set designs and objects. The show will transform the entire ground floor into a world where space and time expand, and reality is recreated through imagination. Creator and spectator at the same time, Ventura adopts an unconventional chromatic palette, as unusual as the pictorial perspectives that in his works evoke and suggest distant, enigmatic worlds beyond reality. It was this unusual dimension of reality/imagination that appealed to the sensibility of Giorgio Armani, who decided to host this exhibition set up by Ventura himself, for the joy of art aficionados. ‘I’ve observed Ventura’s works with much interest and have been fascinated by the narrative power of his creations and the ability to transform evocative landscapes into photographs,’ commented Armani.
