“In the Now”, with Kim Boske, opening at the Brooklyn Museum

March 8, 2024

Next Friday, March 8, the Brooklyn Museum opens “In the Now”, a show that presents work by Kim Boske exhibited alongside Judy Chicago’s installation The Dinner Party, at the museum’s Center for Feminist Art.

Boske’s photograph “Mapping 5” is part of a selection of photo-based artworks that explore the history of photography as an artistic medium. Next to Boske’s work, photographs by contemporary artists such as Ulla Jokisalo and Sarah Pickering are shown.

“In the Now” exhibits a selection of artworks acquired by the Brooklyn Museum in 2021 from Sir Mark Fehrs Haukohl’s collection, catalogued in the book “The Sir Mark Fehrs Haukohl Collection of European Women Photographers 2000-2020”, where Boske’s “Mapping 5” is also featured.
